Herald Recognizes Diaz-Balart’s Effectiveness
in “delivering
resources and jobs to the District”
Miami-Today, in a Miami Herald endorsement, Mario Diaz-Balart was credited with bringing home jobs and resources including billions for transportation and Everglades restoration. “We recommend Mr. Diaz-Balart in this race…for his overall record of engagement on policy issues and for delivering resources and jobs to the district,” said the Herald.
“Rather than making empty promises in Washington, Mario Diaz-Balart has delivered here at home,” said Carlos Curbelo, spokesman for the Mario Diaz-Balart campaign. “In November, the voters of Southern Florida will choose results over rhetoric, and it is clear who has continuously gotten things done for our community.”
The editorial also praises Diaz-Balart for his support of Israel, free trade with free and Democratic nations in Latin America like Colombia, his leadership in obtaining temporary protective status (TPS) for Hondurans and Nicaraguans and billions of dollars for disaster relief in Haiti, and his support of the Dream Act and education funding for South Florida.
