Garcia Plays Politics with Healthcare Benefits

Today Joe Garcia's Campaign reached a new low by playing politics with a bill designed to assist low-income Americans who need prosthetics yet cannot afford to pay for them.

"I find it sad, though not surprising, that my opponent would side with insurance companies over children and Veterans who need prosthetics.  While he offers more distortions of my record, I will continue fighting to ensure children and Veterans have access to the prosthetics they need," said Diaz-Balart.

Diaz-Balart has consistently co-sponsored healthcare bills that expand healthcare coverage without jeopardizing the quality of care Americans receive. This Congress, he has cosponsored more than 30 healthcare bills in addition to two GI Bills that do not bankrupt small businesses with massive tax hikes.

Garcia's attacks come at a time when his campaign is under fire for failing to disclose to the public the source of over $50,000 received by his campaign, and just days before a deadline imposed by the Federal Election Commission requiring him to address illegal contributions accepted by his campaign during the last period.
