Joe Garcia campaigned this week with Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chairman Chris Van Hollen.  Van Hollen is just the latest in the string of liberal Democrat leaders, including Speaker Pelosi and Chairman Charlie Rangel, who have come down to Miami to buy themselves another puppet in Congress.  The DCCC has spent $950,000 to bring Garcia to Washington and Democrat leaders have given $35,500 to purchase Garcia’s vote.

“Joe Garcia is indebted to radical left wing politicians who, if elected, would own his vote in Congress” Carlos Curbelo, Mario Diaz-Balart’s Campaign Spokesperson  stated “whereas Mario has a proven record of fighting for lower taxes to stimulate our economy and going against party leadership when it is in the best interest of our community.”

Joe Garcia’s vote, which has been bought and paid for, would be used to support Democrat leaders’ liberal tax-and-spend agenda.  We can expect more of the same which we already know to be unprecedented tax increases on American families:

•    Democrats repeatedly voted for the largest tax hike in American History - a House budget that would raise taxes on millions of Americans by almost $700 billion (House Roll Call 141, 03/13/2008, 212, 03/29/2007; 377, 05/17/2007)

•       Democrats voted for a $7.5 billion tax increase that threatens over 5 million American jobs (House Roll Call 746, 07/26/2007)

•       Democrats voted repeatedly to block making permanent tax cuts on income, marriage penalty, child tax credit, investments and the death tax, among others (04/16/2008)

•       Democrats voted for a $2 billion tax increase on home sales (House Roll Call 947, 10/04/2007)

•       Democrats voted to cut seniors' Medicare and create a new tax on private health insurance (House Roll Call 787, 08/01/2007)

•       Democrats voted against banning taxpayer-funded grants for convicted felons (House Roll Call 224, 04/18/2007)
